Between 23 and 25 February , Hindutva Mobs descended on Shiv Vihar in North-east Delhi, selectively targetting and destroying Muslim houses, shops and cars. “Jai Shree Ram” was inscribed on many shutters.

Many residents escaped in the dead of the night, to Chaman Park in New Mustafabad. They mentioned that the Delhi Police had not assisted them during the violence. They are currently living there, in a relief camp run by locals.
