On the beach in the famous heritage and temple town of Puri in Orissa, the Bring Your Own Film Festival (BYOFF) is one without competitions, juries and awards—not just for filmmakers but also for artists from other disciplines like music, theatre, painting, sculpture, dance, literature and photography. From its first edition in 2004, BYOFF has been an informal and intimate gathering of artists with screenings inside makeshift tents during the day and after sundown, in the open air. These often extend into the early hours of the morning.

Bring Your Own Film Festival, 21 to 25 February, Pink House Chakra Tirtha Road (CT Road), Puri. For more information, visit www.byoffpuri.com.
