This year, the NCPA will host the late Guru Bipin Singh’s Manipuri Nartanalaya, to celebrate the maestro’s ninety-sixth birth anniversary. Guru Bipin Singh, in collaboration with the Jhaveri sisters and Kalavati Devi, founded the Manipuri Nartanalaya in 1972 to bring traditional and classical Manipuri dances from temples to theatres.
