The exhibition features rare manuscripts and paintings from Indian and French archives about the lives of 12 Indian rulers and French-speaking officers at their courts. Curated by Samuel Berthet, the exhibits are contextualised within the rise of the British East India Company and the successive defeats of the French East India Company’s army.
